The "Hangzhou Beauty" variety of Phalaenopsis has a medium to large flower size with a large number of blossoms. The outer edges of its petals are tinged with a light purplish-red hue and dotted with small patterns like blushes, creating an elegant and cool beauty temperament. This kind of flower is relatively easy to take care of, and its performance in reblooming is also quite satisfactory.

The flowering period of the "Hangzhou Beauty" Phalaenopsis is rather long. Generally, it can last for 2 to 3 months. If properly cared for, it can even bloom its beauty for a longer time. From winter to spring, it can add a gorgeous touch of color to our living spaces and accompany us through the long days.

Tips for Caring for "Hangzhou Beauty" Phalaenopsis:

Watering: Phalaenopsis likes a moist environment but is afraid of waterlogging. When watering, follow the principle of "watering when the soil is dry and stopping when it's wet". Gently insert your finger about 2 to 3 centimeters into the soil. If it feels dry, it's time to water. Generally, water it 1 to 2 times a week, and the specific frequency should be adjusted according to the season and environmental humidity. When watering, be careful to avoid splashing water onto the leaves and flowers to prevent rotting. The soaking method can be adopted. Place the flowerpot in a container filled with water and let the water slowly permeate from the bottom of the pot. Take it out when the soil surface becomes moist.

Light: It is a plant that prefers semi-shade and cannot directly receive strong sunlight. Place the Phalaenopsis in a place with bright, diffused light, such as near a window but covered by curtains, or in a bright corner indoors. When the sunlight is strong in summer, proper shading should be done to prevent the leaves from being sunburned. In winter, the lighting time can be appropriately increased, which is beneficial for flower bud differentiation and blooming.

Temperature: The suitable growth temperature for Phalaenopsis is between 15 and 28 °C. In hot summer, pay attention to ventilation and cooling, and the temperature can be adjusted by using fans, air conditioners and other equipment. In winter, take good measures to keep it warm and avoid the temperature dropping below 10 °C, otherwise it will affect the growth and blooming of the plant.

Soil: Choose special Phalaenopsis planting materials that are loose, breathable and have good drainage, such as moss, bark, and coir. These materials can not only ensure that the roots have enough air to breathe but also drain water well to prevent the roots from rotting due to water accumulation.

Fertilization: During the growing season, apply a thin liquid fertilizer once every 1 to 2 weeks. The concentration of the liquid fertilizer should be low to avoid burning the roots. When fertilizing, be careful not to splash the fertilizer solution onto the leaves and flowers. During the flower bud differentiation period, increase the application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers to promote the formation of flower buds and blooming. During the blooming period, stop fertilizing.
