Have you ever encountered the situation where the leaves of your tomato plants turn yellow and wither? In fact, there are multiple reasons for this. Today, I will share with you the causes and remedies. Please make a note of them!

## Nutrient Deficiency
- **Symptoms**: The leaves turn yellow and the growth is slow. Different nutrient deficiencies show different symptoms.
- **Nitrogen Deficiency**: The older leaves turn yellow first, and the whole plant is short and thin.
- **Iron Deficiency**: The new leaves turn yellow, but the veins remain green.
- **Magnesium Deficiency**: The edges of the leaves turn yellow, and yellowish patches appear between the veins.
- **Remedies**: Select the corresponding fertilizer according to the type of nutrient deficiency! For nitrogen deficiency, use urea or decomposed organic fertilizer. For iron deficiency, supplement with ferrous sulfate solution (dilute it and then water the roots or spray it on the leaves). For magnesium deficiency, use magnesium sulfate and dilute it into a 0.2%-0.4% solution for foliar spraying, once a week for 2-3 consecutive weeks!

## Disease Infection
- **Symptoms**: Spots and mold layers appear on the leaves, which gradually turn yellow and wither.
- **Remedies**: Once the diseased leaves are found, immediately remove and destroy them to avoid infection! For leaf mold, spray with a diluted solution of fungicides such as carbendazim and thiophanate - methyl. For viral diseases, spray with ningnanmycin according to the proportion in the instructions, once every 7-10 days. At the same time, pay attention to preventing the pests that transmit the virus!

## Pest Invasion
- **Symptoms**: There are holes and spots on the leaves, and pests or eggs can be seen on the back of the leaves.
- **Remedies**: When a small number of pests are found, rinse the back of the leaves with clean water or soapy water to wash away the pests and eggs! When the pest infestation is severe, hang yellow sticky traps. You can also use insecticides such as imidacloprid and avermectin. Remember to dilute them according to the proportion and avoid spraying during high - temperature periods!

## Environmental Problems
- **Symptoms**: The overall condition of the plant is poor, and the leaves turn yellow.
- **Remedies**: Tomatoes are light - loving plants. Ensure at least 6-8 hours of light per day! If planted indoors, place them on a south - facing balcony or use a supplementary light! Keep the temperature between 20℃ and 30℃. Provide appropriate shade in summer when it is too hot, and move the plants to a warm place in winter when the temperature is below 10℃.

## Potting Soil Problems
- **Symptoms**: Water accumulates after watering, and the soil becomes compacted and hard.
- **Remedies**: Replace the soil directly. Choose loose, breathable, and organic - rich nutrient soil, such as a mixture of leaf - mold soil, peat soil, and perlite in a 1:1:1 ratio. Trim the rotten roots when changing the soil! Regularly loosen the soil in normal times, avoid watering "half - water", and water with diluted white vinegar water once a month to adjust the soil pH.

**Daily Maintenance Tips**: Water when the soil is dry and avoid waterlogging to prevent root rot; fertilize regularly with thin fertilizers applied frequently; keep the environment ventilated to reduce the occurrence of pests and diseases.

I hope all your tomato plants can grow healthily and be covered with red fruits!
