Today, I'd like to introduce six kinds of flowers that are particularly easy to grow in a greenhouse. They are also highly ornamental, and even novice gardeners can easily take care of them!
**Phalaenopsis Orchid**
Phalaenopsis orchids are known as the "Queen of Orchids." Their flowers are shaped like dancing butterflies, and they come in a rich variety of colors, including pure white, pink, purple-red, etc. There are also unique varieties with spots or stripes. The flower stems emerge from the axils of the leaves, presenting an elegant posture. In the greenhouse, it is sufficient to maintain the temperature between 15 and 28 °C. Usually, use a spray bottle to spray water around to keep the air moist. Use bark and sphagnum moss as the "bed." Don't water too frequently. Water only when the surface is dry. It's definitely a plant friendly to lazy people!
**Rose**
There are numerous varieties of roses, with gorgeous flower colors and diverse flower shapes, ranging from the classic cup-shaped to the modern high-centered and ruffled shapes. Whether it's the elegance of a single flower in full bloom or the exuberance when a cluster of flowers bloom together, they are highly ornamental. The greenhouse can protect roses from pests and diseases, and they don't have to worry about the cold in winter. Expose them to the sun for 6 to 8 hours a day, regularly trim off the withered flowers and dead branches, and then apply some compound fertilizer, and the flower yield will double directly!
**Hydrangea**
Hydrangea flowers are large and spherical. The flower color will change with the pH of the soil. They are mostly blue in acidic soil and pink in alkaline soil, which is very interesting. The common variety "Endless Summer" has a long flowering period and a large number of flowers. Keep the temperature in the greenhouse between 15 and 25 °C. In summer, set up a sunshade net. When watering, remember the principle of "water thoroughly when the soil is dry." It's very easy to grow hydrangeas with red edges and a jelly-like color!
**Clematis**
Clematis is known as the "Queen of Vines." It has a rich variety of flower shapes, including single-petal, double-petal, bell-shaped, etc., and its flower colors are bright, ranging from white, pink to purple and blue, which are very charming. Its vines can climb and grow, making it suitable for creating flower wall and flower rack landscapes. In a greenhouse environment with a temperature of 15 to 25 °C, it can bloom early and has an extremely long flowering period! Just expose it to the sun every day, but avoid direct and intense sunlight. Choose soil with good drainage and trim it regularly, and you can easily cultivate a "flower waterfall"!
**Saintpaulia**
Saintpaulia plants are small and delicate, with thick leaves and exquisite flowers. They come in a rich variety of colors, such as blue, purple, pink, white, etc., and also have different flower shapes like single-petal, double-petal, and semi-double-petal. Keep the temperature in the greenhouse between 18 and 25 °C and the humidity between 50% and 60%. Don't water on the leaves. The immersion method is the safest. Use some loose, slightly acidic soil, and it will fill the pot with flowers in no time!
**Hippeastrum**
Hippeastrum flowers are large, with an elegant flower shape and gorgeous flower colors. Common varieties include red, pink, white, and multi-colored ones. The flower stems are thick, with 2 to 6 flowers at the top, which is highly visually impactful. In the greenhouse, the most comfortable temperature is between 18 and 25 °C, and during the winter dormancy period, keep the temperature at 5 to 10 °C. When planting, expose 1/3 of the bulb, expose it to more sunlight, and apply some phosphorus and potassium fertilizers before flowering, and the flowers will bloom large and brightly!
